Ongoing Workshops and Classes:

Your Relationship with SUGAR.  Are you constantly craving sweets and want to understand why?  Do you want to gain control without deprivation? This workshop explores the effects of sugar on the body and your individual relationship with sugar. Participants will gain a greater understanding of why we crave sweets, how sugar decreases our energy and the cycle of sugar addiction. In addition to understanding why we overindulge in sweet foods, participants learn what alternatives exist to the typical refined sugars we find in junk food, candy bars and other unhealthy snacks.

Eating for Health Every Day. Learn how to approach your daily and weekly meals with healthy kitchen techniques that will improve your overall diet.  Many of us know that whole nutrient-dense foods are good for us but we’re unsure about how to incorporate them into our daily diet easily and deliciously.  This cooking class will inspire you to make whole foods front and center in your diet and help you with getting organized and happy in the kitchen. Learn delicious recipes and preparation techniques that will help you make the most of seasonal and nutrient-dense foods.

12 Steps to Better Health:  An Integrative Approach.  Learn about an approach to better health and nutrition that takes into account all areas of your life, including your relationships, your studies, your career goals, your social life, your finances, your creative outlets, your body, and your spirituality.  We are complex beings with one opportunity to live our lives on this planet.  Get inspired to live your life to the fullest and achieve the things you’ve always wanted for yourself.

Weigh Less. Live More. This workshop explores reasons for why people “get in the way” of their own health, how it can be difficult to break unhealthy eating cycles, and provides a vision for how you can find new habits that support your health, achieve the permanent shedding of pounds to reach ideal weight, and pursue the life you have always wanted for yourself.

Edify Your Mind. Edify Your Body. Some of us live in our heads and process the world without really being in touch with what our bodies are telling us.  Have you done lots of research on healthy eating, are quite educated about what is good for you to eat, but still struggle with diet-related health concerns (e.g., weight loss, emotional eating, cooking healthy food on a daily basis, etc.)?  It’s a confusing world of food out there and Americans have many choices to make when it comes to what they eat and their health.  Learn how you can begin to get in touch with your own body to hear what it has to tell you about what you should be eating.

What’s for Dinner?  Eating for Energy with Whole Foods.  Many of us know that whole nutrient-dense foods are good for us.  But many of us are unaware how just how powerful whole foods are in helping us live life to the fullest.  What would your life be like if you had an abundance of energy and vitality?  This class will inspire you to make whole foods front and center in your diet and help you with getting organized and happy in the kitchen. Learn delicious recipes and preparation techniques that will help you make the most of seasonal and nutrient-dense foods.

Confused about Carbs?  If you are confused about carbs and the choices you should be making about your carb-intake you are not alone.  Learn more about how to get off the “blood sugar roller coaster” and  develop a new relationship with healthy carbohydrates.
